I want to extend a huge congratulations to young Annabella Sciberras, who won two gold medals at the NSW Combined High School Athletics championships in September! Annabella placed first in the senior girls 800m and 1500m races. She also came home with a bronze medal from the senior girls 3000m race.

This latest event builds upon Annabella’s spectacular high school sporting success.

In the 2025 NSW Combined High School Athletics Championships she placed first in the 800m and third in the 1500m of the under-16 girls category.
Anabella also has a passion for soccer which has led her to become a member of the Under 18’s Western Sydney Wanderers Academy. She is part of the Winmalee High School Open Girls Football team and has represented the Sydney West Girls Football team at the state championships in both 2025 and 2026.

Anabella showcases exceptional talent in sport and athletic abilities. Her achievements are worthy of celebrating and acknowledging in our Blue Mountains community and in this Parliament.

I wish Annabella the very best in all her future endeavours!
