Four Blue Mountains seniors were awarded for their work in the local community. Jim Watson from Lawson was awarded for his involvement in Clean Up Australia Day and his dedication to improving men's mental health through his involvement in the men's shed. Heather Gwilliam's tireless work in supporting the Blue Mountains community during fires and floods through her work with Gateway Family Services and her ongoing work with Rotary was also recognised. Glenbrook's Suzie Wright was recognised for her commitment to the environment as a volunteer at Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve and Nursery, and Landcare. In the Upper Mountains, Noel Daly from Blackheath was recognised for his long-time involvement in the community and his 50 years as a justice of the peace. I sincerely thank all our seniors across the Blue Mountains, but particularly these four for their valuable contributions to our community. It is an absolute honour to know them all and sing their praises in the New South Wales Parliament.
