I acknowledge and honour the remarkable legacy of the Good Samaritan Sisters at Our Lady of the Nativity Parish in Lawson. On Sunday, 31 August, I had the privilege of joining the parish community to farewell and give heartfelt thanks to the Sisters, who have served the people of the Blue Mountains with compassion, wisdom, and quiet strength for generations. 

Their presence has been a source of spiritual and community nourishment in the Mid Mountains; particularly in education, pastoral care, and social justice. As they close this chapter, I offer my deepest gratitude and best wishes for the road ahead.  

Their legacy will continue to inspire.
