It is an honour to celebrate Springwood's Kay Burton for the inspiration she provides to our community. Kay has recently celebrated an incredible achievement, winning four gold medals in the 2025 World Aquatics Masters Championships in Singapore at the remarkable age of 86. She finished first in her 85- to 89-year-olds category in the 100 metres breaststroke, 100 metres butterfly, 200 metres individual medley and 400 metres individual medley. Her dedication and passion for swimming are truly inspiring. Competing at such a prestigious international event is a testament to her lifelong commitment to health and fitness. She embodies the spirit of perseverance and shows all of us that age is no barrier to pursuing our dreams and challenging ourselves. Kay is already looking forward to her next major international meet in Budapest in 2027. Congratulations, Kay.
