I commend the Medlow Bath Residents Association for its exceptional work in bringing the community together, especially through the recent Music in the Park event held on Saturday 18 October. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing road widening project, the association's positivity and resilience remained inspirational. I give special thanks to Debra and Russell Brown for their leadership, and to members like Shane Porteous, Carlene Martin and Jen Tierney, whose advocacy and contributions to the association's activities is a remarkable example of what community means. Their efforts continue to strengthen Medlow Bath as a vibrant and connected village of good people. Music in the Park was ably organised by Deb Brown, Frances Huckstepp, Deb Howell, Carol Prior, Pat Drummond and Jenny Storaker. I thank Bendigo Bank and Blue Mountains City Council for their sponsorship of this year's event. I also thank all the fabulous musicians and community organisations including the Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre for enriching the day, Rotary for its barbeque, the ever-present Medlow Bath Rural Fire Brigade for always protecting and informing locals, as well as the plant stallholders, face painters and picnickers.
