Schools in the Blue Mountains have received a significant investment of more than $5 million to fund much needed maintenance and local projects for the 2024-2025 year. Planning and works are underway which will ensure our schools and classrooms are safe, modern and conducive to a learning environment.  

 

The Member for Blue Mountains, Trish Doyle MP said

The maintenance and local projects underway for Blue Mountains include: 

  

  • Blackheath Public School – Remediation works for the school oval, painting works, roof repair, floor repairs,   
  • Springwood High School – Science lab refurbishments, Kitchen refurbishment, floor covering works, 
  • Ellison Public School – replacement of covered walkways,  
  • Winmalee High School – Toilet refurbishments, stair works,  
  • Leura Public School – Painting works,  
  • Katoomba High School – Carpet replacements, lighting upgrade,  
  • Wentworth Falls Public School – Painting works,  
  • Faulconbridge Public School – Resurfacing works of the quadrangle, Kitchen repairs  
  • Katoomba Public School – Painting works, door replacement, concrete works, 
  • Blaxland Public School – Sport court works, painting works,  
  • Mount Riverview Public School – Sport court resurfacing,  
  • Springwood Public School – Resurfacing quadrangle, painting works, floor repairs  
  • Warrimoo Public School – drainage repairs, painting works,  
  • Katoomba North Public School – Painting works, demountable removal,  
  • Blaxland High School – Paving and painting works,  
  • Hazelbrook Public School – Contaminated material removal, site repairs 
  • Glenbrook Public School – Painting repairs  
  • Lawson Public School – Painting works  
  • Mount Victoria Public School – Concrete repairs, cabinet replacement  
  • Lapstone Public School – Painting works  
  • Winmalee Public School – Painting works, fencing replacement  
  • Katoomba North Public School – Replace retaining wall 

  

These works reflect the Minns Labor Government’s commitment to rebuilding public education in NSW and ensuring that our children have a learning environment they can thrive in and reach their full potential.
